NOTICE
OF RACE The
event is organized by the host clubs or organization of the four regattas
which form the series; Newport Harbor YC, San Diego YC, South Shore YC, Southwestern
YC, Cabrillo Beach YC, Dana Point YC, Santa Barbara YC, and King Harbor YC.
The event will be administered by Ullman Sails, Inc. Note:
The Ullman Sails Offshore Championship will be hereinafter referred to as

Race, Sailing Instructions and any other governing documents of each
individual regatta shall apply. 3. Eligibility, Entry, Entry Fee3.1.
The Ullman
Series is open to Performance Handicap Racing Fleet (PHRF) boats, with class
breaks to be determined before the NHYC
& SDYC Islands Race. Anticipated Classes will be: 50+ Class, 40+ Class,
30+ Class, 20+ Class. 3.2.
Alternative
rating systems (e.g. ORR, IMS) may be used for certain classes within the
Ullman Series, provided boats within those classes have valid measurement and
rating certificates for that rating system. 3.3.
The Ullman Series
has no entry form or entry fee. 3.4.
A boat is
automatically entered in the Ullman Series when it enters any of the regattas
listed above. 4. Scoring4.1.
Series placing
will be based on the official results of each regatta. The Ullman Series will use the boat’s
placing (elapsed and corrected times) from each regatta to determine its
score for that event. 4.2.
Scoring for Series Class (50+ class, 40+ class, etc.) position will
be determined by boat’s LOA. 4.3.
Series scores
will be determined by a low point scoring system wherein each regatta finishing
place counts as a single score. There will be no discards. 4.4.
A boat entered in The Ullman Series not entering a regatta in the
series will be scored for the finishing place 2 more than the last place boat
in that regatta. 4.5.
A competitor’s
Ullman Series point totals and placing will be available on the Ullman Sails
website. 5. Prizes5.1.
Trophies will
be awarded to top overall and class winners for both elapsed and corrected
times in the Fleet overall, 50+ Class, 40+ Class, 30+ Class, 20+ Class. 6.
